Kolsai lakes are a system of three lakes in the northern Tien Shan, in the Kolsai gorge, in a bridge connecting the Kungei-Alatau and Zailiysky Alatau ridges.
High in the mountains, in a bridge connecting the mountain ranges of the Zailiysky Alatau and Kungey-Alatau, between the overgrown high with the slopes of the Kolsai gorge, these natural jewels are beautifully hidden - the wonderful lakes. Each of them has its own unique charm. Each is beautiful in its own way. The Kolsai lakes are called 'the pearl of the Northern Tien Shan'. But in fact it is not even a pearl, but a real necklace: there are three lakes! The lake of Sata meets the guests at the altitude of 1.8 km. Its length is about a kilometer, the width of the 'pouring' along the gorge is 400 meters, and the depth is 80 meters. The water in the lake is very cold even in summer - no higher than 6-8 degrees.
The second Kolsay lake - Mynzhylgi - is located at 430 m above sea level. Its depth is 50 meters. A narrow mountain path leads to the lake. It is the largest and most beautiful of the three lakes. As if rewarding travelers for a long and difficult climb, it meets them with an amazing landscape: a natural dam of fallen spruces and picturesque beaches 'decorated' with alpine flowers, among which here and there, snow-white stars of the edelweiss flit.
The upper Kolsai is the highest mountain and the smallest lake - is still 600 m higher - at an altitude of 2850 m above sea level. It 'hid' between the majestic rocks and bizarre evergreen juniper trees. The price includes: round trip transfer, guide-interpreter, accommodation with three meals a day, all environmental taxes , photoshoot.
